NOVA Easter Egg Hunts

Celebrate spring and Easter at one of these fun Easter Egg Hunts in Northern Virginia. Enjoy treats, games, activities and the chance to visit the Easter Bunny and take photos. March 30 – April 28, 2019
Easter Egg Hunts at Ticonderoga Farms (Chantilly, VA)
All Ages; Weekends 9:30am to 5pm Children ages 2 & up: $14.95 per ticket. Adults: $12.95 per ticket.
Easter Egg Hunts will begin promptly at the allotted times: 10 am, 12 pm and 2 pm. In order to create a safe and happy environment for all our visitors, the hunts will be divided into 4 age groups: 0-2, 3&4, 5&6 and 7+. The egg hunts are set up so that each child should obtain a full Easter basket (approximately 25 eggs). There will be baskets available for purchase upon arrival. Other activities included with your admission: giant slide hills, huge jumping pillows, hayrides, animal feeding areas, pedal kart track, swinging bridge, and much more!

Easter Egg Hunt at Colvin Run Mill (Great Falls, VA)
Ages 2 – 9;  Hunt for eggs filled with treats and treasures on the grounds of Colvin Run Mill Historic Site. Before the hunt, make egg-cellent crafts to take home. Bring your own basket. Egg hunts for children age two to three run at 10 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. The egg hunt for children age four to six takes place at 10:45 p.m. Children age seven to nine can hunt for eggs at 11:30 a.m. The cost is $8 per child. EGGnormous Egg Hunt at Sunrise Valley Elementary School (Reston, VA)
Ages Infant – 8; 10am to 11:30am at Sunrise Valley Elementary School, located at 10824 Cross School Road (corner of Cross School Road and Sunrise Valley Drive). FREE Games, entertainment, moon bounces, prizes, and a strolling magician will be featured along with our ever-popular egg hunt. The egg hunt starts at 10:30 a.m. sharp! Rain date: April 20.

Easter Egg Hunt at Algonkian Regional Park (Sterling, VA)
Ages 2 to 11; 11am to 12:30pm
Grab your Easter basket and join us at Algonkian Regional Park for our annual Easter egg hunt! Children, ages 2 to 11 years old, are invited to celebrate spring with crafts, games, snacks, photos (bring your camera!) with the Easter Bunny and an Easter egg hunt. Old-Fashioned Egg Roll at Freeman Store and Museum (Vienna, VA)
Ages 12 and Under; 10:30am – 11:30am. Enjoy a visit with the Easter Bunny, egg decorating, and an egg roll across the Freeman House side lawn, followed by storytelling with the Patrick Henry Library staff. This event will be held at the Freeman House, 131 Church Street NE. Activities are for children 12 and younger.

Easter Egg Hunt at Sully (Chantilly, VA)
Ages 1 – 8;  Bring your baskets for an Easter egg hunt like the Noltings had at Sully in the early 1950s. Play Easter games like an egg roll and egg carry. The Easter Bunny will roam the grounds, ready for pictures. Make an Easter craft to take home along with your eggs. Limit 10 eggs per child. There are three sessions at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and noon. Wagon rides available for $2 per person.

Spring Fling! Easter-Eggstravaganza at Roer’s Zoofari (Vienna, VA)
As an institution committed to conservation and improving the environment we are not handing out 40,000 plastic eggs – as we have in the past. This year the event is Plastic Free! That means we will have reusable eggs that younger children will hunt and then turn in for prizes. We will have bounce houses, face painting and environmentally responsible crafts. Children that sign a plastic pledge -to reduce their use of plastics will receive an additional gift.  Cost is $20 per person.

Easter Egg Hunt at Lake Fairfax Park (Reston, VA)
Ages 1 – 4; 11am to 2pm
Hunt for eggs filled with treats and treasures on the Lake Fairfax Park grounds. Egg hunts for children ages one and two begin on the half-hour from 11 a.m. to noon. Egg hunts for children ages two and three take place at 12:30 and 1 p.m. The egg hunts for children ages three and four run at 1:30 and 2 p.m. The cost is $8 per child. Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens (Vienna, VA)
Ages 2 – 11; 11am to 12:30pm Children are invited to celebrate Spring with crafts, games, snacks, photos (bring your camera!) with the Easter Bunny and an Easter Egg Hunt. If significant weather occurs, this Easter Egg Hunt will be postponed to Thursday, April 18–in this case, a postponement notice will be posted at novaparks.com by 5 p.m. on Monday, April 15.

Baskets and Bunnies at Burke Lake Park
Ages 1 – 7; 10:45am to 4:15pm
Enjoy all the fun of Baskets & Bunnies at Burke Lake Park and hunt for eggs, too. Egg hunts for children ages one to four take place throughout the day from 10:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Egg hunts for children ages five to seven run periodically from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Register for a specific time online. Town of Herndon Easter Egg Hunt (Herndon, VA)
Ages walking – 7; 9:45am.  Games, arts & crafts, and music will begin at 9:30 a.m., along with a photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny. Pre-registration is $9 through Friday, April 19, or $10 onsite the day of the event (cash or check only). Egg Hunt times: Age 5-7, 9:45 a.m. Age 3-4, 10:30 a.m. Walking-2, 11:15 a.m.
The event takes place at 777 Lynn Street behind the Herndon Municipal Building. Parking is free and available at various parking areas in downtown Herndon. Event held rain or shine.

Eco Easter Egg Hunt at Whitehall Farms (Fairfax, VA)
Join us for our 2nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Whitehall Farm! Come play Easter games, bounce in our inflatable houses (weather permitting), and of course search for eggs! You can meet all Whitehall’s farm animals like Henry the curious cow, feed our flock of 200 hungry chickens, and see the baby piggies! Take a scenic wagon ride through the woods around the farm, and check out our little farm store featuring freshly pastured eggs, pork, and beef from our farm, and unique local products from across the region. Feel free to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy at our tables, or bring a blanket so you can relax while the kids have a blast! All mentioned activities are included in the price of admission. Non-participating children 3 and under are free, so bring the whole family! Each participating child will get a basket, a Whitehall Farm coloring book with crayons to take home, and the opportunity to find approximately 10 eco eggs filled with candy. If you choose to we are happy to reuse baskets and eggs in good condition for future hunts. Our hunts are staggered by age group starting with our youngest participants to make sure everyone gets the opportunity to find plenty of eggs. There will be three heats at 10am, 12pm, and 2pm.
