The outdoor ice skating rinks are seasonal and open November thru March and some have extended hours during the holidays. The indoor skating rinks are open year round, offer open skating as well as lessons, leagues and special events.

Reston Town Center Ice Skating Pavilion is open seasonally from early November to mid March, offering public skating every day and extended hours for all Holidays.

Hours of Operation: Sunday – Tuesday: 11:00AM – 7:00PM; Wednesday – Thursday: 11:00AM – 10:00PM; Friday – Saturday : 11:00AM – 11:00PM.

Admission: Adults $10, Youth (under 12) /Senior (55+)/Military Admission: $9, Skate Rentals $6

Special Events: Rock the Rink: Fridays, 8PM – 10PM, Cartoon Skate: Saturdays, 11AM – 1PM, College Skate Night: Thursdays, 6PM – 9PM, Receive $2 off Admission with a Valid College ID (College Skate Night is not valid during the holidays – November 22nd, December 27th and January 3rd).

Each winter the Harris Pavilion is transformed into a one pad outdoor ice skating facility perfect for the whole family. Featuring a quality sound system, premium lighting, and satellite music, customers of all ages will enjoy this winter. Open Mid October thru March.

Hours of Operation: November – December 2018: Monday – Thursday 3pm – 8 pm; Friday 3pm – 10pm; Saturday 12pm – 10pm; Sunday 12pm – 5pm.

National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden Ice Rink: 7th St and Constitution Ave, NE, Washington, DC Phone: 202-289-3360

The experience of ice-skating in the Sculpture Garden, surrounded by the grand architecture of national museums and monuments, is enhanced by splendid views of large-scale sculptures by modern and contemporary artists, including Louise Bourgeois, Alexander Calder, Tony Smith, Roy Lichtenstein, Roxy Paine, and others from the Gallery’s renowned collection. Located on the National Mall between 7th and 9th Streets along Constitution Avenue NW, the ice rink is a favorite Washington, DC destination, each year attracting thousands of visitors and residents.

Hours of Operation: Monday – Thursday: 10:00 am – 9:00 pm; Friday: 10:00 am – 11:00 pm; Saturday: 11:00 am  – 11:00 pm; Sunday: 11:00 am – 9:00 pm.

Admission: Two forty-five-minute sessions, beginning on the hour. $9 for adults; $8 for children age 12 and under, students with valid ID, and skaters age 50 and over; $4.00 for skate rental (ID required).

Opens November 16, 2018 until March 1, 2019. At 11,800 square feet, the Washington Harbour Ice Rink is DC’s largest outdoor ice skating venue. Skate alongside the Potomac River and enjoy a hot beverage from one of the rink-side restaurants.

Canal Park is a 3 acre neighborhood-centric park that opened in 2012 as a model of sustainable design for an outdoor space. The park is home to seasonal markets and events, dancing fountains in the warmer months, and ice skating in the winter. Ice Rink Opens mid November thru March.
